I have a 10W falcon and my boss was impressed with the etching of anodized aluminum so he bought the Falcon 2 40W.
The main problem I have is that the etching for the 40W is not clear as my 10w.
We bought this to do labels on our new products, but it is coming out fuzzy.
The pictures attached show the difference. I have also attached a screenshot of the Lightburn settings.
I have done the following so far (please note that lightburn is in fill mode):
Changed % of laser power.
Tried the precise laser mode (22W by holding button on laser head)
Slowing down the speed.
Adjusting the head height.
Tried the basic ‘best specs’ of 6000 speed, 30%.
As you can see, the 40W does not come out crisp, but the 10W does.
The pics are the best I have gotten so far.
I did slow the speed down to 40/ 15power/ 22w precise cutting and the picture shows the best result so far, but still not crisp enough. Even the symbols on the side are hard to read.
I am using the height marker on the Etching 1-3mm Basswood setting. This is the height that I used for my 10W.
Is there something in the settings that I may have missed to make it crisper?
Any ideas on how to make it nice and clean.
