I set up my Falcon 2 Pro today, and I have a question on the honeycomb. The assembly video looks like I set the honeycomb on the base, then slide the base underneath the unit. But when I try this, the honeycomb hits a part inside the unit:

So, should I insert the drawer, and then install the honeycomb once the drawer is in position? Or is this piece inside the main unit in the wrong location (sticking out too far)?

This part should not extend inwards there, maybe it slid out, I guess it is the sensor for the drawer to check if it’s closed. You maybe have to install that part back to the side.

So that would be bending the bracket holding the sensor?

I would really appreciate it if someone would post a photo of that sensor on their unit, so I can see how it should be positioned!

MORE questions:

  1. Is there something special about the USB cable that comes to this? Why won’t a regular (good quality) USB-C to USB-C cable connect the device to a Mac?
  2. I did a Line Cutting, got the warning about smoke and the fan. BUT my fan did NOT run. I reseated the fan connection. Does this mean my fan is defective, or is there some other problem?
  3. It seems the laser head complains if the air assist isn’t on and blowing at full blast. Is that normal?

I think I’m going to disassemble this, pack it all up, and return it to Amazon. I could test the evacuation fan, but even if the fan is bad, I’d have to go through the hassle of a replacement. And if the fan checks out, that means something else is wrong.

It seems to me for a machine of this cost-point, they could have included a 2 digit LED to show error codes, instead of a non-specific “listen for buzzes and watch for blinking lights”.

It’s a normal USB data cable.
The fan on the side? It should start running for a few seconds when you close the lid and the machine is turned on as well. Does it not move at all? Probably a connection issue, not plugged in somewhere.
Turn the air assist to full power (dial on the left of the machine) and make sure the hose has no tight bends inside and outside of the machine.
