I am trying to cut, outer perimeter only (2.5”x3.5”), 110lb 300gsm card stock. Not a single setting online, etc prevents burning, or a burning smell. Apparently it has never been asked in the history of this machine, because the only online help is how to get smells out of wood. One reddit thread has a mans picture of his clean cut snowflake with no burns, but that’s just thin paper. Another lady claims to never burn her 270gsm card stock and loves the machine, that’s it, she says nothing else. These are paper products I cannot have go out smelling like a house fire. I have tried a 10 pass thing at low power, 8 per 11x8.5 sheet with one total pass per round. (in case you think 10 passes of each at once, then the next) Nope, one pass of all 8….then another, rinse and repeat till 10 passes are done. Still smells burnt and like smoke.
At a point that folks are not being honest about being able to cut paper cleanly, or there is something I am doing wrong. Height is set to 1-3mm on the height tool,
Ty for any help,
Me
