Falcon A1 10w making grinding noise when starting up

Hi all. When I start my falcon a1 10w laser engraver there is a whirring / grinding kind of noise. It stops are 30 seconds but is clearly not right. I’ve cleaned everything including air filter and checked belt tension but unsure of what to do. The engraver now stops part way through jobs too. I have a video of the noise the machine is making. Any help would be gratefully received.

What happens when you move the laser head somewhat to the middle before trying to home it?

This almost sounds like a motor is spinning freely, did a pulley on a motor come loose (check the setscrews)?

Hi there. Thanks so much for responding. It still makes the noise if I position the laser head away from ‘home’. What’s strange is after an initial bout of the noise (about 30seconds) it stops and is now completing jobs without making any noise at all.
