We got an “update available” a week ago for my Falcon Design Space software to the latest. Seems to have broke framing for my Rotary chuck engraving. NOW for the life of me I cant figure out how to fix it. It only now frames a small random sliver and back. When you run the project it just looks like it engraves lines that look like dashes all the way around the tumbler. I have checked virtually EVERY setting, reset, reinstalled software. “support” told sent me to guthub link to download previous versions of Design Space and downloaded a few and still same issue. Anyone have this same issue? Flat engraving and cutting is perfect. Just the rotary no engraving no longer works as it should. Can anyone help?

I am going to try uninstalling the updates tonight and dumping in version 1.9.5 to see if that will at least resolve the issue for now.
I have the exact same issue. I thought maybe my stepper motor was going bad so I have a replacement coming. Just started happening after I downloaded the update lastnight now the rotary does the exact same thing you described…..
Anyone have a solution yet? We are not the only ones, apparently this happened to many people? We need a fix, support is useless.
Just got done talking to support…again. They are tired of hearing from me I’m sure of it, but its BS. They are aware of this BS and pretending like we are stupid. They “forwarded this issue,(that they are well aware of) to “advanced tech support. Sure. What (I think) happened was, they released the design space update without verification. I mean, my God, we have AI now. The Chinese DEF have better AI, why they didnt have the files/code checked by AI for errors is beyond me. Anyway, the update broke, altered or reset the scaling parameters for the rotary chuck. This is also why they canceled the update across the board so that others are not affected. If you try and update now, it takes you to a 404 error page. Further proof they know its messed up. These changes are saved not just in the software but also Internally in the machine onboard memory/cache as well. Therefore when you completely remove software and downgrade to a previous version, it still wont fix it. Just like getting another new chuck, wont fix it. Its not the rotary chuck. The changelog now saved in the unit broke cylindrical framing and processing parameters, not flat surface engraving. I asked them how to set the machine back to factory/reset onboard memory/cache and they wont tell me. They told me support will “contact me” . Maybe firmware rewrite will fix? idk So we are dead in the water for chuck engraving (with design space) unless someone can find a workaround on design space. Allegedly Lightburn works fine but that is $99 and more settings than I want to mess with. Creality support sucks so it might be a hot minute before they release the update to fix the update.

Oh joy! So kind of them to fix something that wasn’t broken…. I guess I can start returning the new motors I bought.
It appears there has been a new software update 10.2 going to try downloading tonight to see if the issue will be resolved.
“New update” did NOT fix the chuck framing issue. Just confirmed the issue persists. Same framing and engraving issue when using rotary chuck.
Flat engraving still not affected by update. All works as it should. They patch other issues but ignore this issue, like its not a big deal.
** Creality this is a big deal. The least you could do is fix an issue you caused.** OR advise everyone on how to fix your mess up in the machine while using Falcon Software
Tried dumping in 10.3 lastnight still did not fix the issue…. Certainly getting frustrating as I have projects piling up. Looking into Lightburn to see if that will allow me to utilize the rotary system again or not.
This BS IS CONFIRMED, Software/Firmware Issue caused by their BS updates. How I know, A friend of mine bought a new unit. Just arrived. He brought it to my house, we unboxed it.
I UNINSTALLED design space completely from my PC. From applications, all locations ie user app data, C/Program Files, everywhere and restarted PC.
After restart, I went to the Wiki and installed old Design Space version from March. Plugged in unit. Of course it immediately prompted “You have new firmware” … (Yeah, NO.)
Then it immediately prompted “New Design Space Update with “fixes” version 10xxxx” (Yeah, NO AGAIN)
Connected Rotary, Put in project, and Imagine that, FRAMED JUST FINE, ENGRAVED JUST FINE. Then put in a flat project. Calibrated and worked perfect. Went back to Rotary and Viola, Perfect.
Plugged MY unit back in. Rotary BS. Not working of course. Humored Creality update, to absolute latest. This one is different from one I had. STILL NOT WORKING ON MINE.
In short, told my buddy ABSOLUTELY DO NOT update Firmware OR Design Space until they get their crap together. We who updated now have broken firmware settings and software settings tied to, saved IN the unit. They need to give us a complete firmware WIPE AND RESET, and same with Design Space
