Falcon module with 5w laser on Ender 3 Pro

If this is in the wrong place, please move.

I was gifted the laser and module about a year and a half ago but never played with it because I couldn’t find any good info about it as it relates to the E3P setup. Everything seems to be about the S1. That still holds true as of this post.

This guide is offered in several places including these forums, but once read, it becomes obvious that the only printer supported is the S1. As we know, the Pro and S1 are completely different so this offers little help.

I have downloaded and tried to use Creality Print with the suggested S1 printer profile selected. Of course it doesn’t work.
I’ve downloaded the Falcon Software but there is no profile for printers other than those in the Falcon line.
Several places have suggested LaserGBRL.

Does ANYONE have any experience with the Falcon module and the Ender 3 Pro?

LaserGRBL, LightBurn and other front ends basically produce G-code (see: G-code - Wikipedia). Your E3P should be able to read and run the g-code, but you will have some issues with setting the laser power levels and switching it on and off. I am not sure if it is possible to map some other pins to the fire and power levels, but it is likely the case. Now, if your 3D printer runs open-source software, you should be able to hack a specific driver for the laser module, but that is a fair bit of work.
