feature request: set origin in global markers

Hello Creality Scan team.

Would you please consider adding a mechanism to Creality Scan to set the project origin via multiple markers (e.g., 3 markers define a plane, 2 markers define an axis on that plane, 1 marker defines a point on that axis). Subsequent scans and merges should all use this origin. This will allow the consistent use of a coordinate system of the data after importing the mesh into another application (e.g., Autodesk Fusion).

Currently when importing a model into another system, it is necessary to transform to a sensible coordinate system, but markers are generally removed by that point. It can be difficult to capture exactly the affine transform required to align with a model origin, and if subsequent scans are made to align the new meshes with the rest of the in-progress model. Having a global marker constellation coordinate system that references some pre-existing ground truth would be tremendously helpful.

Thank you for considering!

Hi, any options here? It’s tremendously not useful to have the origin at the camera position when it first starts scanning. The Einscan software has rudimentary support for aligning to a coordinate system, it would be great if Creality Scan could do better in this regard.

Hi Creality team, any updates on this? I have a large scanning job coming up and this would be tremendously helpful.
