Filament Extrusion Problem

Hello,

I’m quite new to printers as a whole so please excuse anything stupid I say. I’ve printed a lot of projects before with my E3V3 SE and it worked great. However now, the filament will go in, and then just not extrude. As you can see in the video below, the (what I think is the grip wheel) is turning yet nothing is actually being printed. Now you might think, maybe the grip wheel isn’t having enough force to push the filament through! Well when I take the filament out you can clearly see the teeth marks, but the filament is also not melted at all, which led me to believe it was a nozzle problem. So I cleaned the nozzle. No dice. Replaced it. Same thing. The filament is still coming out at a depressing room temperature, despite it saying the nozzle is well hot enough. Please help!

Thanks,

Lucas

Hi Lucas

I’m afraid I cannot see the video.

I would remove the filament, then remove the nozzle. Push the filament into the extruder until it appears where the nozzle would go. Put the nozzle back in, releasing the pressure on the extruder as you tighten the nozzle up.

Now you know the filament is where it needs to be, do a test extrude and hopefully it will work.

If it does not you may have to adjust the spring tension on the extruder to get things just right.

I have just had to do this and found a small plug of filament was restricting the new filament being loaded correctly.

Good Luck
