Filament Quality - Creality vs. Bambu Labs

I am posting this here because the filaments I’m comparing were printed with my K2. I have made over 30 prints of the same part with Creality filament, mixed in with some other generic brands here and there. The specific part measures 342mm x 200mm x 32mm. The quality of the prints made with Creality filament was excellent and I never thought anything of it.

However, while randomly investigating Bambu refills, I purchased some filament from them, specifically their Basic PLA refills – the prints were noticeably BETTER with Bambu Labs filament. The layer lines seemed to disappear and the surface (top) looked more consistent and appeared to be smoother.

What’s up with this? Has anyone else noticed a quality difference between Creality filaments vs. other brands? Which filament brands/products are better than Creality, and which brands should I avoid altogether?
