When loading a non Creality filament into the printer I used to be able to set the minimum and maximum temps in the printer filament config.
Ever since 1.1.2.6 the temperature those options for me are greyed out and so when I set the temps in Creality slicer (lets say for PETG+ which I print at 270c), when it reaches the CFS filament loading phase it will
Raise the temperature to 270 (as I have set it in the slicer)
A few moments later it will drop the temp to 250c to extrude it since the generic PETG profile is 250c and I cannot change it anymore.
When it starts to print it will then start the print and then go back upto 270c.
Is anyone else noticed this and why would Creality lock out the min and max temps of the filaments in the filament config menu???
So yes, thats their firmware update. The way I get around this is, as soon as the printer reaches its printing temp (not the temp I want)) and starts to move to print its flow line at the front left, then I change temperature. That keeps it, but the temp may change with filament changes. That’s my work around.
My printer started with firmware at 1.1.2.6 and I updated it to 1.1.2.10 hoping this condition might change. Too much to hope for. For example I use PET at 260c nozzle temp and the only option is Generic PET which uses a lower temp. The only issue I have is when loading filament or retracting filament it uses the lower temp which doesn’t always work well. I would like to add filament brands and temps to my printer. Does anyone know how to do this?
Thanks
