Hi,
I printed a PLA shaft with a heat set insert, which was mounted on a 1/4 x 20 bolt. The shaft was glued into a metal violin holder.
Somehow the 3D printed shaft broke. You can see in these pics that it broke where shaft comes out of the metal tube violin holder.
Is there some type of “filler” I can use to (a) fill the shaft and then (b) thread or screen it onto the 1/4 x 20 bolt, and glue it there?
Any Suggestions?
In the future for this purpose - a shaft that is inserted into and fills the metal tubing of a violin holder, and then screwed onto a 1/4 x 20 bolt - what’s the best material to use?
