Firmware Update Issue: CFS & Other .cfg Files Deleted

Howdy all! I’ve had relatively good luck searching for any answers for past printer and CFS problems, but this is one I can’t seem to resolve. Even a full firmware wipe hasn’t fixed this problem.

Ever since the 1.1.5.2 update, I have a number of .cfg files get deleted upon installation and reboot of the printer firmware. Whether I’ve installed various “Improvement” files or I keep everything completely stock, the files needed for the CFS-C and printer gcodes are completely deleted and the printer can’t properly boot up until I upload them again in Fluidd. These files aren’t being replaced by a newer version either, they are just simply wiped from existence.

Has anyone experienced this? Have you found a solution or reason for why it happens? It took me a couple attempts for the latest update - 1.1.7.7 - to install without bricking the printer and preventing me from opening Fluidd.

I don’t have an answer for your particular question, but I did notice that when updating the firmware that it will delete any configuration files that you have manually added prior. The only thing I could suggest is possibly doing a factory reset on the printer and then updating to the latest firmware. Sounds to me like something got corrupted in the process of the last update.
