could anyone help me please…the m4 is new…i cant get a good first layer…it doesnt seem to level the bed or something…somewhere the nozzle is too close or too far or just right…
Hello @nejc …!
Welcome to the Creality Forum…!
Looks like your prints are sticking to the build plate ok.
Not familiar with that printer but sometimes that has to do with the flow rate not being enough.
If you are using Creality Print 5.xx go to the calibration menu and try the flow rate test and see how it goes…
thanks for the quick reply…i dont think its a flow issue…the adheason depends on what part of the plate i print…somewhere it wont stick …somewhere it will print so close i cant crape off the fillament from the bed…on some parts the print will stick but there are gaps like in the pictures…and on some parts of the bed the first layer is perfect…
I’ve been dealing with similar issues on my Creality CR-M4, so I completely understand your frustration. With such a large bed size (450x450 mm), the default auto-bed leveling system doesn’t seem to provide enough resolution for the leveling mesh. The spacing between the points is just too large, which can lead to inaccuracies in some areas, especially when printing big parts that use the entire build plate.
In my case, I noticed that the printer works fine for smaller prints, but when I go for full-plate prints, certain sections don’t adhere as well, and I also get problems with infill lines not bonding properly due to uneven bed leveling. Since the CR-M4 doesn’t have manual bed adjustment knobs, there’s no easy way to fine-tune these inconsistencies.
I’ve been looking into whether it’s possible to increase the leveling mesh resolution by adding more points. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like this can be configured directly through the printer’s settings or G-code so far (at least, I haven’t found a way). My suspicion is that this might require a firmware update or adjustment to the firmware configuration itself, which would allow for a denser leveling grid.
Has anyone else been able to increase the number of auto-bed leveling points on the CR-M4? If so, how did you go about it? I’d love to know if there’s a workaround or a custom firmware option that can help with this.
Looking forward to hearing everyone’s thoughts or suggestions on this issue!
i contacted creality they say that it is normal yeah right
