Flush volume K2SE CFS

hello, I just bought the CFS for the K2SE. As a test print, I tried to print Chillet from Palworld (several models, including this https://www.printables.com/model/774161-chillet-mmu and this https://www.printables.com/model/747279-low-poly-chillet and this https://www.printables.com/model/1191408-chillet-multi-material-remix ).

The issue is that every single model I have tried so far has an absolutely unacceptable material to waste ratio. I’m aware that multi-color printing is not exactly efficient, but 760g - 860g of estimated waste for a 26g figurine seems way over the top. Is that a configuration issue, software bug, display bug, firmware bug?

I’m using Creality Print 7.2.1.5476 Release running on Fedora. Calculated flush volume multiplier is 1.3. The unreasonable waste comes from flush volume, not tower. “Flush into Object’s infill” has no effect on calculated waste.

thanks

If you are printing objects with multiple colors on the same level you need to expect a lot of waste. Try printing objects with color changes per level. You can also change the way you print the object to reduce waste. I once designed and printed a white box, for an ambulance, with one side having Red lettering naming the equipment that it held on a wall. It wasted half of the material to do the red lettering. If I had printed it with the letters facing up, it would have had minimal waste.
