FO2936: Filament Feeding Error – Filament May Be Stuck Between the Filament Sensor and the Extruder Gear

Applicable Model: SPARKX i7

Why This Message Appears

This message indicates that during the feeding process, the CFS Lite failed to deliver the filament properly to the extruder filament sensor. Common causes include:

  • Incorrect placement of the CFS Lite and i7, resulting in excessive feeding resistance
  • Improper installation or routing of the PTFE tube, causing feeding obstruction
  • Excessive curvature at the end of the filament, preventing it from advancing properly

How to Resolve the Issue

Check whether the placement of the i7 and CFS Lite, as well as the installation of the PTFE tube, are correct. Please refer to CFS Lite Filament Tube Installation and Placement Guidelinesfor detailed instructions.

If the placement is correct, first check whether the filament end is excessively curved. Use cutters to trim a short section from the filament end, then reinsert the filament into the CFS Lite.

If the issue persists and the error appears frequently, there may be an abnormality with the Toolhead Manifold or the Extruder. In this case, replacement may be required, or you may contact the SPARKX after-sales support team for assistance.

General Troubleshooting Steps

Refer to CFS Lite Filament Tube Installation and Placement Guidelines to ensure the printer placement and PTFE tube routing are correct.

  1. Open the CFS Lite, remove the filament from the affected channel, and trim a section from the filament end using cutters.
  2. Retry the filament feeding process and observe whether the error still occurs.

If components related to the Toolhead Manifold or Extruder front housing need to be replaced, it is recommended to stop the print and power off the printer before performing the replacement.
