General review of Creality 3D printers

My first two 3D printers were from Creality back in 2016, first was the CR-7, then the CR-10.

Within a few years I learned 3D printing fairly well. Learned from others/posts what issues are consistent and what worked. I also learned about other brand printers as well. What does work (you know the old adage, “you get what you pay for.” Well, I purchase a Prusa Mk3. I’ve moved on to the Prusa MK4S. Expensive but well worth the extra money I had to spend rather than have frustration over know issues with Creality 3D printers.

What Creality does really well is introduce new 3D printer models. There are pro’s and con’s to that, though. Creality’s thinking is “introduce” new printers for more income, but leave previous models in the dust without fixing known issues.

Unfortunately, past and current 3D printer purchasers haven’t realized Creality’s business model.

Although I currently use my MK4S, my CR-7 and CR-10 are in perfect condition. The CR-7 came in perfect condition right out of the box, but I cannot same the same for the CR-10. To Creality, they DID replace the factory defective part (bent beyond belief. The QC people who inspect the printers before boxing must have been blind to miss this easy to spot bent part). On both Creality printers, I have printed parts to enhance both printer’s efficiency, As I said earlier, both printers currently without issues. Now, both I consider to be antiques. I hate to give them up, give them to others, as they are too old to be considered worthwhile.
