Did you print it on the frame or separate parts? I found the armour to be really tight but it does fit with a bit of persuasion. I struggled with the waistline connection. Which materials did you use? I used all PLA though I should have made the skeleton from PETG.
I only have PLA at the moment, i print separte parts, tried the BETA and v1.0, v1.0 was better but the ankle armor part aways break.
the junction on the arms and legs for rotation also gave me trouble to conect on BETA but was better on v1.0 and using the recomended settings on the model description.
i also having trouble to make strait corners, it always end little round or extruded.
Any help is aprecietad thx and happy new year!
I printed v1.0, I think PLA is a little too rigid I used PLA+ (just checked) it is a little more flexible. PETG is quite a bit more flexible (and glossy). I will try it in ABS, but that won’t be with my V3KE that will be on my Q1Pro. Check your print order, I think if you did the armour inside to outside but the skeleton outside to inside it might make the armour a little bigger and the skeleton spot on.
Hello Bonfireman,
That’s a clever little idea. Well thought about
I was contemplating printing the dummy 13 after Belgari mentioned it.
Cheers.
I printed the ones on a frame like an Airfix/Tamiya type kit and left it in the engineering office as a little Christmas present. Might try printing armour on my V3KE or SE and the skeleton on one of my Qidi printers, just for sh*ts and giggles and to see if a bedslinger v coreXY makes a difference. Just got a reel of transparent red TPU, that could be a fun armour.
Hello Bonfireman,
I think that is the one I saw on Printables (on a frame), very cool.
What did your work friends think ?
By the way, have you done the moulds for vacforming you mentioned in another post and if so what filament did you find best.
Cheers.
It was still under construction when I left on Christmas Eve. Vacforming is an on-going project. Might think about using the router on the Snapmaker and make wooden forms or print ABS, we shall see.
That was half a day ago for you, Happy New Year and I hope the Champers keeps flowing until after my birthday on the 3rd.
Sorry for the thread hijack belgari, hope I was of some help.
