Need help scanning a battery cover.

I am trying to scan a small 2.5” x 2.5” white batter cover. I am using the Creality Ferret Pro with an iPhone.
The item is basically flat with a couple tabs and a latch that is just a “V” that is squeezed to release.
I can not get the scanner to recognize it.
