Hi and a bit about me

Hello all!

Guy here form North Wales in the UK.
I originally started off in 3D printing with a well used (2nd maybe 3rd hand) Ender 3 Pro a good 4 years ago.
It didn’t print well, so needed some work.
Squared it, changed the springs, extruder, motherboard, changed to hot end and nozzle type, added the dual fan mod, it was great, just slow.

I ended up helping a lot of folks out on the official Facebook group, ending up as one of the moderation team, which is great.

I took the plunge and upgraded to a K1C a couple of years ago.
Coupled with learning Blender for hard surface modelling, qualifying as a Solidworks Associate, and generally tinkering around I’m pretty happy going from idea, through prototype to final part for a wide range of applications.

My love is producing scenery items for tabletop wargaming (think Warhammer etc) I’ve several projects on the go right now.
I also often produce more functional items, the most recent stemming from the love of the outdoors and wild camping, where a need to secure my Hammock Underquilt to my hammock, or any type of hammock for that matter has ended up with an innovative clip system allowing bungee/shock cord attachment and adjustment and clip onto various points on a hammock.

I’ve done all sorts from many materials, and have no intention of stopping!

Anyway, looking forward to engaging with you all.

Guy (me) - Darkworld_minis // Bushcraft Playground (and a couple of my alias’)
