Hi just introducing myself I'm Don an old guy from Redditch

Hi

I guess by most people here im an old Phart at 76 , I got into 3D printing when RepRap started making printers that took all day to assemble , I had the Ormerod , thank god they improved since then .I’ve had lots of printers both bought , and built by myself including a couple of CR10 S pros for filament and a photon mono M7 for resin , two days ago I got the K1C printer and its been running since 30 minutes of arriving and hasnt stopped since , the finish on the prints is amazing and the speed , wow its off the scale . I also have the raptor pro 3D scanner with the scan bridge , I actually asks a question on here about it and was amazed how quick i was answered . Thanks guys for the replies . to add to my print and scan tools I also have a 22W diode laser , my main hobby is model making and especially model enginnering . so cad 3D printing and laser cutting will all be usefull , once I manage to set up the scanner and learn to use it . . I guess i will have a lot of questions for you soon

Finally, someone on the forum older than me  The thing I love about all this is a couple of old men getting excited about learning new stuff.

And I’m a 71 year old into 3D and laser as well - just havent got a scanner yet.

My laser is built on an old extended (40cm square ) Ender3 v2 with a 10W Creality laser module - not an up to date system but works perfectly for what I do with model making for model railways

Here’s to the old guys that keep the brains ticking over.
