I bought a Creality Hi with a CFS.
So I loaded 3 spools of PLA and configured them. Printing is going fine that way.
now I loaded a spool of ASA in slot 4. I cannot get the printer to take this filament which obviously needs much higher temperatures. First I try to configure the filament on the printer itself, there is nog ASA option! So I chose ABS. In Creality print it is possible to edit that to ASA.
When I sliced it and press send print I either get a greyed out box for CFS slot 4, or i got a few mapping errors and I can only send the print tot the printer, but there it also doesn’t print.
Adding an ASA filament is seemingly not possible. Adding a custom filament always results in an error I need to select a printer or preset but there’s no selection to choose from.
How do I add, NON NFC, filaments, assign a CFS slot and be able to print from that?
It’s so confusing!
problem1:
can’t select other temps, except 190-240
problem2:
can’t select other pressure, except 0.04mm
problem 3:
when i select in slicer temp for the first layer 220
and for other layer select 210,
system for first layer use temp 220 & for other layer use temp 210, but
after next filament changing system use temp 220 for all other layers, even i selected in slicer another filament with settings 210 for first and 210 for others layers
i need 220 at start and 210 for all others layers, how can i solve this?
problem4:
when system changing next color (pla), nozzle temp is 240, can it change color al lower temp?
how can i select another temp in cfs edit menu?
Well it seems the Hi can’t print some materials from the CFS. TPU was obvious and was clearly stated in the manuals but it seems also the case for ASA so the only option is to use the external spool holder which is a shame because ASA is extemely hygroscopic so I have to take it off and put it back in storage all the time.
I’m looking into building a dry box from where I can feed ASA from.
