how to choose the right printer for me

Hi All,
I’m a beginner (Day-0), busy choosing the printer most apt for my needs.
Following the quick advice shouted by somebody on an SMS, I landed analyzing the Ender-3 V3.
But when I went looking for prices on the Internet, it proposed me so many variants of the Ender-3 V3 that I was confused.
So, I’m here to see whether any of you guys has or can point me to a list of the various models with their characteristics, which would help me to choose the right model for my needs.
Thanks for reading and thanks for any advice you’ll provide, no matter how little.
Jack

Hello @MonkeyPrint …!

Welcome to the Creality Forum…! Creality

We’re glad you chose to research the Creality Ender series. I must say that it is a little overwhelming to compare all the Enders.

On this page you can select different Creality printers and see all the specs… :arrow_heading_down:

Ender Printer User Guides and Service Videos.

What size models do you plan to print ? Filament ? Budget ?

For a complete beginner I think one of the newer models would work well for you as a lot of the leveling is automated as that can be time consuming on some of the older Enders. Newer improved extruders and nozzles will help also.

I have these two models here:

Ender-3 V3 PLUS (300 x 300 build plate)

Hi Jack (Sounds like I’m taking over an aircraft!)

I bought an Ender 3v3 KE last month and, like you, I’m a 3D printing novice. The KE suits me perfectly. I’ve used it for printing tools, household items, model kits, repacement parts for all kinds of things (downloaded from various websites as I haven’t learned any CAD software yet.) The KE is very reasonably priced, it’s fast and it has the automatic bed levelling feature, which is good. It really was as simple as put it together, connect the wires, plug it in and print. But that’s just my opinion :slightly_smiling_face:

I’m sure that if you ask 10 different people, you’ll get 10 different answers on which is the best printer. My own crieria was a decent printer at a reasonable price for printing useful bits and pieces.

Hope you get some answers that help to point you in the right direction.

Cheers

i would go with a V3KE too, better connectivity than the V3SE which is a bonus. I would also look at the V3. If you want bigger (I do) then something like the V3 plus or even a Qidi Xplus3. Saying I want bigger I have 2 printers that will print 350x350, they may be slow but that extra build can come in useful.
