some advice what to do.
so i made the endstop cover, with the gopro adapter attacht to it.
so al printing goes well, but the gopro part is not hard enoug, how can i fix that.
i print with petg and i tough that was hard, do i need to print with abs for this?
see image attached.
100% infill on PETG. Could make it out of ABS, again 100% infill, but if you don’t have a heated chamber it is a pain to print, delamination, lifting corners to name a few.
ill try lifting corners, because i used infill 100%.
but it broke also further on first, then i tried the rest and then
the rest broke. so the beginning i can fix.
but the end of it, i think i cannot change much, to make it better.
also i see alot of downsizes about abs, so i prefer to stay on petg.
because its weird the rest of the case you see whats okey.
I think if you even would stand on it, it will not break hihi.
ill will not say that will fix all, but i print layer 0.20 (standard)
is printing 0.16 or so better or worse?
fixed,
i was assuming petg is beter the pla.
then i was reading and saw that pla is less flexible, so
it can be possible that pla is in some cases stronger
i now printed in pla instead of petg, and its unbreakable.
so problem solved, i hope hihi
Depends on temperature it will be subjected to. If I print something that will be in the car where it can get really hot (60°C or above) it will be PETG or ABS but if it is something that stays cool PLA /PLA+ is great.
then im gonna recheck pla+
because i was going for petg instead of pla+
but now i think i have to go from pla to pla+
but im gonna check what pla+ is gonna do for me.
yes, but till now, im working on cold models, not hot.
i think if you do car , i would rather use abs and or nylon.
but then again i dont think i will make any stuff that is gonna be hot.
but i saw if it is solid petg will also do, because for the test i made i large block, and that
also did not break in petg.
thanks.
Printed some large coffee cup holders for my mates VW T5, PETG and seem to be holding up ok at the moment. They seem happy, might get in with the camper crew and flog some.
i agree, i would also print that in petg.
but i am talking about 15 cm high and 5mm weigth, not in a circle
a circle will hold much better.
afcourse it depence on the model you print, unlucky for me, i made some models with
less flesh to work with, and saw in that case pla work better. what i would not tough to be.
i also printed like a gizmo, etc, but that is all round. and then your save, petg or pla.
then it only depence if you want it to be good in weather change hihi.
in circle printing, it is always so much stronger.
thanks for the info.
printed this, in petg
broke in seconds.
printed this in pla.
the force is with me, but still it does not break
hihi
