I don't want to learn how to paint or color. It defaults to my first color, black. How do I change it so it prints the whole thing one of my other colors? This should be the easiest thing but nothing works.

Its a question

What about selecting which of the roles of material to use in Creality Print when you slice the object?

Creality Print allows you to define which spool to use. At the print window, which appears after you click the “upload and print” button, has a small section that shows the color in the slicer and the color in the cfs it tries to match it with. From there, you csn manually select any of the available spools in the cfs

Bryan, do you have a CFS?
In CP6 you find the filament box(es) on the upper right side.

You have in there 3 areas:

  1. On the upper right, if you have CFS attached, you can select CFS spool to use
  2. On the number on the left you can select the color displayed in slicer
  3. The lower link with the down arrow on the right select the filament profile to use.

If you print and send the file via CP6 to printer you still can change the slot used afterwards before sending but you should make sure that the new slot has same filament type installed than the original slow which you used for slicing!

Also, to change the color of an object(s), right-click on the object and use the Change Filament function towards the bottom of the list.

Slice it, then you can select the layer , right click then add color switch. Its the green slice on the left where you select the layer.

I find the easiest is to use the Plate “Objects” tab.

Each object can then be colored the same or differently.
You can click and choose any of the colors you have to the right and assign 1 color per object. If your colors are wrong you can do what Frank suggests, or change the colors at the Send Print stage.
