I still have problems with extrusion and can't print on PETG or HYPER PETG.

Hi, I have a new Creality ender 5 max and I have one problem when printing hyper petg, after 10-15 minutes you can hear a clicking sound and when it clicks, it skips that area. I bought a new printer from the marketplace, it arrived already assembled and d

isassembled once, it was clear that they wanted to print something and there were still missing parts in the kit. I can’t find how to solve the problem.

Hi, I had an ender 3 s1 plus not a max so my help could be limited as I now have a K2 plus. can you print the message again without the photos and say whether you tried to use it before you dis-assembled it? Also if it came new and assembled what prompted you to take it apart? What parts do you think are missing and do you mean you have lost them?

I recently purchased a Creality Ender 5 Max, but it arrived clearly used: there were tool marks on the bolts and filament residue in the nozzle. I decided to keep it and fix the issues myself. I’ve already cleaned the extruder of melted filament and replaced a broken hot-end cooling fan.

However, I am currently unable to print with PETG or Hyper-PETG. After about 10–15 minutes of printing, the extruder starts clicking and the filament begins to slip. I have tried adjusting temperatures and print speeds, but the issue persists. It seems like heat creep, but I’ve already replaced the fan.

Has anyone experienced this with a refurbished or ‘pre-owned’ unit? What else should I check to stop the clogging after the first few layers?"

Two things you might want to try are to make sure your filament is dry. Petg is worse for this than pla.

Also if you haven’t already done so replace the nozzle. They do wear out.

Thinking further about this. Have you washed the build plate. Wash it well with washing up liquid (dish soap to Americans ) in warm water. Rinse it thoroughly afterwards. Make sure you don’t put your hands on the plate other than the very edges and dry it well afterwards.
