I updated C Print 5.1 and can't open an .stl file

I’ve been 3D printing for several years and was having good luck with an older version of Creality Print. However, after updating to 5.1 (on my MacBook), it doesn’t allow me to open .stl files. (The files are grayed out.)

What am I missing?

I figured it out. I’m tempted to back. This new software is confusing…

I’m on macOS by the way.

For the benefit of those who land here like me only to find a dead end; you will need to click on File> Import > Model file to open stl files.
This seems like something that should be pointed out better by Creality but maybe they have their reasons.
