I got my first Init Fail error today, but I know I’ve seen a lot of people say this happens a lot with the Enders. Usually, a reboot and re-set the card fixes. Worst case scenario it’s a reformat or a damaged SDcard. I had a working SD that I downloaded two new slices to, no problem. Plugged it into the printer and got the error. After cleaning everything, and still generating the error, I tried checkdisk and the ran file recovery and finally gave up and went to reformat. I can’t even reformat it. Seemed unlikely, but I figured some how I damaged the card from my PC to the printer. I scrounged around and could not find a cheap card to use, but the only one I had was my nice card for my drone videos and pictures. Loaded the slices onto that card, got the Init Fail error again, and sure enough, it cannot be reformatted either. So, now I’ve bricked to cards and I’m afraid to commit anything else to this. Any idea how my Ender could be trashing my SD Cards?
Also, I’ve seen people say they can’t be bigger than 4GB. I had been using that first SD card for a few projects and it was 8GB. The second one was 64GB. Would that have anything to do with it? I have used them both for printing. Thanks!
