If been looking and looking and for some reason my sonic pad isn’t broadcasting, its name over Wi-Fi I was wondering if there’s a switch to turn it on. Thanks in advance.
Doesn’t your network show on the pad? Do you have your network hidden? Who is your internet provider? Does the pad show up in your router? Does your pad have an ip address? What did you have for breakfast? What did you have for dinner last Tuesday? Is your birthday on an even or odd day? Shall I go on?
ok smart ass LOL no in my router i have a ip number for it but no name it should say sonic but its blank. i was wondering if theirs a switch to turn it on/off in the sonic software.
Is your router braodcasting? Can you see it on other devices? Can you give your pad a static address?
Oops sorry. I shouldn’t read anything and reply when i first wake up and haven’t had any coffee.
like I said the sonic pad isnt broadcasting a name it comes up in the list as blank. like your router has a switch to turn the name on/off I was wondering if the sonic pad had the same I’m not a rookie at networking a have a gigabit network in my house with 4 computers 2 htpcs all kinds of alexa crap switches in my walls light bulbs plugs to much. I have another sonic pad i just purchased ill see if it does the same.
I’m just grabbing thoughts so please forgive me. I’ a retired IT Tech 20 years at a school district. TI am assuming the pad is showing it’s name in the Settings. So other than that, im at a loss. Very strange indeed. Have you tried backing everything up then doing a factory reset?
Hello Negev,
I have checked over the settings in my Sonic Pad and can’t find anywhere within it’s menus to change or add a name.
I most likely simply named it in my router when I first ran it and named it there,as ,it shows up as sonic pad on the router list and also if I use an advanced port scanner program.
I have not looked into Klipper to see if there is something within there to change, but I doubt it.
Cheers.
