K1 belt replacement

Sirs,

Parts questions for K1 Max:

I watched the video on the belt changing procedure, but I have been unable to locate where I can buy these belts. It seems like the length would be somewhat important. Are there precut belts, or do you just have to fashion your own?

Is it possible to get stronger springs for the belt tensioners?

Thanks,
The Kapt

They are GT2 6mm wide timing belt, get about 5 Meters long, so you can cut them to length after feeding them through using the current belts.

Gates Power Grip LL-2GT RF are the stock belt type.

Thanks for the replies. So, I have to cut them to length using the stretched out old belts. It is an answer, but it seems like a less than optimal solution. I have done a bit more tuning (slowing things down) and most of the noise problems went away. I will just put off replacing the belts as long as possible.

I do appreciate the answers. It was what I expected, but not what I hoped for.

That is just the first cut. After tightening, you will cut them flush with the carriage belt retainers.
