Newbie here. I see people saying the build plate is a wear item but how do you tell it needs replacing? I see replacement plates on eBay but they don’t have the wipe strip. There are K1C plates with wipe strips, they’ll work, right?
I use one without a wipe strip, and no issues.
If you see damages it is worn out, but usually lasts a pretty long time…

Wiper strips can be purchased also…
I noticed on amazon, some people claim to have the wiper strips at the correct length when they are not exact. Cut at will. I had to use two strips which is the entire length of one of the Creality branded strips.
