K1 Camera Not Connecting

Replying on my own post:

After a few messages back and forth, Creality Technical Services determined that the only viable solution was to send me a new camera.

The troubleshooting tips they gave me were:

  1. Does the camera turn on while not printing? Sometimes the cameras are sensitive to chamber heat. The camera should be on at least if the print chamber remains 30 degrees celsius or lower. If it turns off at temperatures higher than 30C, it is considered normal behaviour. In my case the camera wasn’t turning on in any circumstances, temperature independent.
  2. Is the camera detected when you disconnect the LiDAR sensor? Apparently if you disconnect the LiDAR, and the camera is detected, the issue isn’t the camera it’s the LiDAR. I thought this was interesting. In my circumstance, disconnecting the LiDAR sensor had no effect.
  3. They also asked me to verify I’ve done all the other troubleshooting steps in this link: Camera Not Detected | Creality Wiki

After I confirmed those steps, they agreed that it is a faulty camera. It was sent right away at no cost to me, and Creality was pretty quick to resolve the issue.

I hope the same resolution works for of you.
