When I select different filaments I don’t see the speed settings change on the Global Process screen Advance mode. Also, if I uncheck Advance on this same Process screen there’s no speed settings. What gives?
I’ve been 3d printing for about 8 months with the K1 and haven’t messed with speed settings. All I’ve been adjusting are nozzle temp, layer height, infill, wall loops, ect…
However, I do notice the print speeds are different when actually printing with different filaments like PLA vs TPU.
The explicit speeds listed under the Process panel in Creality Print are not changed by the filament settings. So how is printing a TPU filament slowed down?
Well, it is regulated by the settings in the Material specification configurations. Specifically, the Volumetric speed limitation. So for TPU it is set to 3 mm3/sec. For Hyper PLA it is: 23 mm3/sec. Printing speed is limited by this setting.
