Hello everyone, i been thinking of getting into 3D printing for years, and i have decided to go with the K1, i am not scared of touching around and investigating/exploring to fix problems and learn.
But when i got delivered the K1, i got It set Up, following official creality tutorials, and the creality print provided in the USB that comes with the printer. I got all the automatic verifications done, and printed a benchy already loaded Up in the printer. Everything fine.
The problem comes after that, when i loaded a Infinity cube from the creality cloud app, that was apparently made for 0.2 layer height and 0.4 nozzle, the standards settings for the K1 basically, i sliced It from the app, and sent to print with the previous calibration that the K1 can do automatically before any print. Well, to my surprise, It started the first layer fine, i gave the back to It, and focused on my pc, 5 mins later, i turn to check on the print, and the first layer was already clogged Up on the nozzle making a Big mess, now its a ball of plastic around the hotend, inside the silicon coat, tangled around the termistor cables, i have been able to dissassemble the Hotend without breaking anything, but i wont be able to take out the plastic around without breaking the termistor copper wires (idk if that is the name, sorry, im a complete rookie) I ordered in Amazon a hotend upgrade kit that had one day delivery and got It checked a couple hours before, when It got delivered. I just noticed the connectors are not the same, and after researching i found the connectors on that hotend are the old ones. My PCB has the new ones.
My question here (the hotend cannot be saved, at least not with my actual knowledge, which is slightly above 0) this should be covered by the warranty right? I mean, all this has been literally done by the creality automatized system, It cannot be a malfunction produced by me. Can i reach creality support to get a new hotend, with the proper connectors sent? Like It should be covered in the warranty right?
Thank you everyone. Any advice is also welcome, not about this but also about 3d printing and k1 system aswell. Appreciated it.
