Hello, I equipped my K1 max with a CFS and unfortunately have been experiencing several problems since then. 1. The bedmesh displays completely incorrect calibration data. Resetting the bedmesh didn’t help either. 2. The display freezes during printing (but continues printing), and you can no longer enter anything on the display or, for example, cancel the print. 3. Common problems with automatic extrusion when changing colors. 4. When extruding manually, it sometimes happens that the print head is not in the correct position and crashes against the back panel. Only turning the printer on and off makes it work again. 5. When extruding manually, if there are errors with the filament feed, the print head heats up to 250 degrees and doesn’t stop heating despite the error. 6. Since the upgrade, I’ve often had warping issues that I wasn’t aware of before. In my opinion, the firmware has a lot of bugs that will hopefully be fixed soon. I was actually very happy with my K1 Max. Converting to CFS was a real pain. Regards
I have also had the screen freezing problem and the head in the wrong place. the head problem was cured by re doing the firmware. But the screen keeps freezing. Creality sent me another screen. That did NOTcure it. They are now sending me another motherboard ( there are two different motherboards for the K1MAX!!! Waiting to see if that cures it. But like you I think it is a software problem .
I fixed my screen freezing by changing how many minutes it stayed on. Once I did that no issues. So strange lol
I figured out that the bedmesh display issue is related to the silicone wiper. As they provided only one and I use 2 plates (smooth and textured) I just removed it and all works fine. Before the CFS upgrade the printer did wipe pretty much at the same area without silicon wiper so I figured out it is not required - and also bedmesh now looks OK. I’m now testing if @CoolHandLuke suggestion will fix the screen freezing.
Another issue that I have is that the LIDAR doesn’t seem to do anything with the CFS firmware version.
if my K1 Max screen is set to time out then it will not respond to touch once it goes blank. If I set it to never time out then it works but the screen stays on all the time. It just started happening when I added the CFS. I also get random communication errors. I can resume the print and it works fine. Sometime it will happen twice it it does then the CFS flashes red but I can still resume and it works fine. It will even swap filament!
Same thing Here, Prints fine then i get an error on Creality print, then screen wont show up, its coming on as i can see the back light go on, but no display, still prints fine. Definatly a software bug, probably with the 485 comms to the cfs unit
