K1 Max CR4CU220812S12 motherboard version and latest CR4CU220812S12_ota_X2000E_V1.1.0.27.20251225.img

Hi Everyone.#

CR4CU220812S12_ota_X2000E_V1.1.0.27.20251225.img is the latest firmware for K1 Max with the upgraded motherboard.

I installed the v2 firmware originally just to support the CFS , but is there a way of using this new latest V1.1.0.27.20251225 firmware which supports the CFS with my new upgraded motherboard. I have upgraded the motors and pulleys to support the new motherboard version CR4CU220812S12. There really isn’t any information regarding this anywhere and i don’t want to brick my machine. There must be a reason why they uploaded it. Anyone got a clue.

cheers

I having the same issue with my K1C converted to use CFS. They shipped a build for the board ending in 11 and didn’t mention it in the instructions. Huge bummer.

Firmware v 1.1.0.27 is only for K1 Max with cfs-c, not for K1 Max with cfs. So I wouldn’t even try to upload it.

Do you know how to get the 027 firmware to install? I have a K1-Max with the S12 board and a CFS-C. I can’t get it to install. I get an error as if it’s the wrong board revision.

I do not want to install the CR4CU220812S11_ota_img_V2.3.5.34 firmware as I have gotten too many stories about people bricking their unit. It also seems to be for the S11 board which I don’t have.

I already had firmware 1.0.26 in the printer from a USB drive from cfs-c. I finally installed 1.0.27 by disconnecting cfs-c from the printer and inserting the flash drive with firmware 1.0.27 into the printer’s USB port. Then the firmware was successfully installed.

The firmware <CR4CU220812S11_ota_img_V2.3.5.34> is for S11 and S12 boards with CFS. The installer installs differently depending on the board: S11 with 42-60, or S12 with 42-60 or 42-48 stepper. The info will be found in the file <system_version,json> (“hw_version”:“CR4CU220812S12”, “hw1_version”:“1”).

With S12 board and CFS-C firmware CR4CU220812S12_ota_X2000E_V1.1.0.27 is required - But this firmware is not open source and mods (fluidd, mainsail) require advanced knowledge of Linux and klipper
