I have been having some bad underextrusion. I either have to abort prints early or the finished model is brittle and has layer delamination. I have disassembled and removed debris from the extruder and reassembled it. It is extruding less now and clicking. Any suggestions? Should I buy a new extruder?

I would first look at the filament and make sure it’s dry. If it’s wet it will be brittle and cause clogs and ruin a print…
When there is a clog the extruder can’t pull the filament through so it makes those clicking noises…
It’s always good to have spare parts around anyways…

thank you, for the response. I went ahead and bought a new extruder but was able to clear the original issue before it arrived. The nozzle (despite) several cleanings was still clogged and was preventing filament from passing through. Problem solved now!
