K1 max hot end won't wires won't plug into the motherboard

I was printing , and when I came back hours later, the filament had globed around the hot Inn. I heated it up and pulled it off, i snapped a wire in half from the motherboard to the hot end so I took it apart through the hotend away and bot a, new one. Everything looked fine on the motherboard. Nothing was damaged, got a new hot end, from amazon and it is crayality it says it’s for the K1 Max, but it definitely won’t plug into the motherboard. The ends are definitely different

Hello! I am running to the exact issue you are having right now. I tried contacting support and they keep offering to send me a new hot end that I know won’t fit. I kept trying to tell them I need a new hot end with the clips at the end and I even sent them this picture but they still do not understand. Did you manage to find a replacement hot end?

Hey, so I actually had this problem about a month ago too (woke up one morning and found a tumor that f** up my board and hotend) and just now was able to fix it.

TLDR, I had to solder in new connections.

Customer service was no help at all. So I checked my closest microcenter, scoured every single fourm and chat GPTed everything.

At the end, I bought like 5 boards from aliexpress and the connectors from amazon along with flux, solder, etc to unsolder the old connectors and put in new ones. Eventually after 2 tries (popped a capacitor on the first one and burned one out trying to desolder) I got the 3rd board to actually work. I did get an error 111 (something wrong with connection to board error) so i checked the solder joints for any bridging (when 2 solder joints connect or something like that) then checked for any loose connections. After that I was golden and printed the default benchy that came with the printer after the fix.

Another thing, don’t let the images in ali express fool you. The actual female connectors won’t fit the current hotends.
