K1 MAX Hotend Completely clogged with a blob around it

Hello everyone. While printing an object something happened and basically the printer started to print with the filament not sticking to the plate so it started forming a blob around the hotend. This resulted in the blob basically solidifying with some of the cables inside it and breaking the hotted silicone protection. I have tried cutting the blob to replace the hotted but I can’t do it all the way. Also I am afraid of damaging or cutting some of the cables that are inside of it. Do you have any advice?

WOW, the only thing that comes to mind is to try to remove some of the blob carefully with a heat gun so you can remove the hotend.

Everything @John_Will said.

Also depending on the nozzle you have maybe using the newest unicorn hot end will prevent that from happening again…
(Same for the K1 Max except removing LiDar)
K1 Max Unicorn Nozzl and Hot End Kit

This video by kevin from Creality shows how.

Yeah that’s one option, but I don’t think I am able to do that with damaging some cables

Wow thanks! I will keep that in mind. For now Creality told me to heat the nozzle and try to remove the blobs and if it doesn’t work to do it with some heat gun/lighter/hair dryer.
I will update you on the situation once I try them

I like a heat gun with a small nozzle. It allows you to keep the heat where you want it, a hair dryer will probably be too broad.
