I have been having a problem where my K1 Max is not extruding any filament for the 1st second of the print. The filament seems to have a 1 - 2 second pause before extruding at the start of a print. This then prints fine and no issues regarding extrusion after the first few seconds. Obviously when it then goes back over the first part on the second layer, the print then absolutely fails because the first part of the print had not been laid down at all.
As an interim I have enabled a brim around the print and can see that it does not seem to extrude straight away. Luckily the brim seems to resolve the issue but I was looking to see if anyone else had the same issue when starting a print on a CFS Upgraded K1 Max.
I am having the same issue. I finally got my CFS working last night and did a test run. I haven’t had time to test it but would/does adding a tower to the print help with this issue? I will keep you updated if I find out or find another remedy.
I wanted to reduce wasted materials as much as I possibly could. It seems that when it changes over the extrusion seems to be delayed for a second or 2.
I added a skirt which helps with the initial layer issue but not ideal at the moment if I was to make more intricate multicolour pieces
I’m also having this issue. Biggest problem is on multi colour prints on first layer. Whilst a brim or skirt can help with single colour, multi colour has huge gaps missing.
I was originally using Orca but then when I got the CFS, just for ease I went back to Creality print. Have been using Creality print since I got the CFS and have had no issues really since the upgraded version of CP. Still having the issue of like a second of no filament coming out after a colour change
