K1 Max Nozzle replacement recommendations

I am a recent owner of the K1 Max and to 3D printing - love the printer. Due to self inflicted issues with my Nozzle (learning curve), I’m looking at replacement options. I’ve seen a lot of YouTube videos and related material about upgrades but want to make sure what I am seeing is compatible with the K1 Max or at least the best next step. Looking for recommendations? Also, if any recommended nozzle would require heat sink replacement.

Microswiss flowtech should be a direct replacement.

As @Bonfireman said the microswiss hotend. I run this hotend myself on the k1 max with the hardened nozzle upgrade and have had zero issues with it.

I have been printing for a while with my K1 Max but recently had some extrusion issues. And after watching the 3D printing nerd talk about the MicroSwiss Flowtech Hotend I decided to upgrade to that because it should be compatible with the K1 Max. However the copper insert does not fit in my cooling block.

I have received everything except for the 3 parts that I have circled red in the image. I am guessing that those are exactly the parts that I need to make it compatible with the K1 Max but I’m not sure. In the instructions that came with it, it says to loosen the set screw of the cooling block, but there is no set screw in my cooling block.

Am I correct in thinking that the missing parts are what I need to make it compatible? Am I missing something else?

Thanks in advance!

According to the Microswiss website you should have both sets of screws and adapters, you choose which to use based on whether you have an older or newer K1. If those bits are missing contact Microswiss, I have found their customer service to be excellent.

they could be referring to the grub screw on the back of heating block, it’s hard to see but if you get behind your machine and look under the hotend you will see a little hole in the back where the grub screw sits. You8 should only have to back it off two or three turns as you don’t want it to fall out and lose it. (I have lost mine before - and luckily Lowe’s had it.)

Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately I ordered from Amazon so I returned the entire order and ordered somewhere else.

It is definitely referring to a grub screw on the back of the heating block but as I mentioned i don’t have that on my K1 max. But I did find the issue, I have a newer version of the K1 max that uses the unicorn nozzle and this does not have the same heating block. So i was indeed missing the parts that I need to make this work.
