K1 Max Nozzle too far from build plate after CFS upgrade

Fairly novice user.

I have upgraded my K1 Max with the Unicorn nozzle and CFS. My nozzle is almost 1 inch from the build plate. I have tried adjusting the Z offset but it’s not working.

I don’t know what else to try.

One inch ?!
That’s honestly a lot ! That’s a new printer ?

If I remember correctly, the Z-offset should be pretty low (like 0.007 for example). It is based on Strain-gauge so in most case, you don’t have to change it

Check if the back purge bin is not hitting the bed.

After 6 hours struggling, found the reason.

Plate was not just laid down, on the back it was a very very little bit on the right notch. When i adjusted it, everything went smooth again. After bed leveling. cfs works now.

Ah ah it happens !

Whooah, I got the same. Only cfs upgrade kit on k1 max. When i take only filament from spoolholder i can print. With usb from cfs out of machine. When i use cfs, buildplate is to low, and first layer don’t attach buildplate at all. Several times bed leveling did not change the result.

Got mine fixed, finally!

I had tried everything at least 10 times. But I hadn’t checked the hopper assembly. I took it off, took it apart, reassembled it, and put it back on. Ran the self-check (for the 4th time last night) and lo and behold, the plate and nozzle were in the right positions. Started a print job and it was doing good, so I went to bed.

THANK YOU!

For some reason, this made me look at the hopper assembly. I thought maybe I put it together wrong, so I took it off, took it apart, looked at the instruction video again as I put it back together. Everything was right, so I put it back on. Ran the self check, and the bed moved like it was supposed to.
