K1 Max - Printing with: Hyper PLA Carbon Fiber Filament

Hi there

I have three questions:

1: Can I use the standard 0.2mm hotend that came with the K1 Max to print with this filament (purchased new in August 2024). If not which “complete” hotend kit should I purchase?

2: The filament profile in CrealityPrint (version 5.1.1.9490) set the temperatures for Hyper PLA at 220oC for the nozzle and I assume bed temperate at 50oC. These are the same setting when I change the filament to Hyper PLA-CF? Is that correct?
Is there a filament database that Creality can provide access to?

3: Can I use the standard K1 Max Smooth PEI Build Plate (a) that comes standard with the printer or should I use the K1 Max PEI Build Plate Kit (b)?

(a) K1 Max Smooth PEI Build Plate

(b) K1 Max PEI Build Plate Kit 315*310mm

PS this is a pretty awesome printer out of the box!

Appreciate your help!
Jon

You can print with it but I am finding that I need to tweak the settings. Many of my prints are somewhat fuzzy and on occasion, begin to unwind after base is printed. I suspect that there is too much resistance or something causing the print nozzle to get insufficient filament.

I’m sure there’s a way to get a fine print with PLA-CF, but I have not located it.

I print hyper PLA CF filament on my K1c OK. I use a 0.4 nozzle (harden Steel) at 220 c bed at 50 - 60 c on the Smooth PEI Build Plate also at 250mm/s. You may need to check the Z offset during the first layer. I have to set it up 0.05mm for PLA.

Clean the build plate with Isopropyl alcohol before printing.
