K1C 2025 + CFS – Same Issue as Others (Locked Firmware + Hardware Mismatch)

Hi all,

I believe I’m experiencing the same issue others have reported with the K1C 2025 model and CFS upgrade.

Details:

  • Model: K1C 2025

  • Firmware: v1.0.0.26.20251024S (service firmware)

  • CFS not detected

  • 4 red LEDs on CFS

  • No CFS menu appears

  • No OTA or USB update option available

Issues I’ve found:

  1. The toolhead/nozzle PCB does not match the install guides. Port layout appears different from earlier K1C boards.

  2. The printer is running service firmware (“S” build) and cannot enter the public firmware channel.

  3. USB and OTA updates both report “up to date.”

  4. SSH access is locked.

  5. I’ve verified wiring, reseated connectors, tested cables, and followed official install instructions.

From what I can tell, this appears to be the same situation others have described where the 2025 hardware revision + service firmware prevents CFS functionality entirely.

Has anyone with a K1C 2025 successfully enabled CFS via firmware migration alone, or does this require a board replacement / retail firmware reflash?

Appreciate any insight.

Hi, I have a similar problem.

I purchased a K1C printer on 29. 9. 2025 from the Czech e-shop https://www.3djake.cz/. The printer worked reliably and correctly. I purchased the additional CFS-C module on 15. 3. 20:55 from the Czech e-shop www.alza.cz. I followed the instructions step by step, but the printer shows errors and printing is not possible.

For general debugging and troubleshooting, I tried resetting to factory settings, ungind creality cloud, restarting the printer, restarting wifi, firmware update, removing cfs and re-mounting cfs, but none of the procedures fixed the error.

The primary problems are that the printer spends a long time connecting to wifi, or does not connect at all. The second problem is that after connecting to wifi I see it in the creality cloud as online in devices, but when I slice the model and want to select a printer from the list, it doesn’t see mine in the list of available devices. I also tried printing using Creality prinz from a PC. There the model is sent to the printer, but when it starts printing, you can see that the extrude doesn’t work (it doesn’t push out the filament) and the print is paused on layer 1 with the error F00528.

If I send the sliced model to the printer and start printing from the printer display, it works correctly.

During printing, the CFS-C model is displayed in the creality cloud alternately as connected and alternately as “Not inserted”. The camera doesn’t work at all.

Current firmware read from the printer display:
K1C_CFS-C Firmware V1.1.0.27.20251225
CFS-C 1 Firmware V1.0.0.27.20251225

I also tried the previous firmware included on the flash drive:
K1C_CFS-C Firmware V1.1.0.26.20251113
CFS-C 1 Firmware V1.1.0.26.20251113
Checking the current firmware shows “Up to date”.

Can you advise me where the error is? This is not a functional solution, which is why I chose the Creality K1C + CFS. I want to print from the cloud, but this printer does not appear in the available devices to start printing.

Users on the forum indicate that there was a hw change unrelated to the firmware and this is now causing errors, or new PCBs are being sent.

Good day,

I have a K1C for about two years it’s a solid printer. However, I purchased CFS-C upgraded the firmware and I started getting communications issues with the CFS-C buffer to the K1C. I have never had any type of issues with the K1C. I love it. The I had a very hard time getting the machine to print without the CFS-C the machine doesn’t run right at all. Creality told me to wait until they fix the firmware and software. It has been disappointing and heartbreaking. The cloud print will not remove the CFS from the profile.

Error codes:

CC5000

5027

FS2831

Best of luck,
