K1C Bed stays at top

I am brand new to 3D printing and have just received my K1C. After running a self test the bed stays at the top of the chamber and I don’t know how to lower it. Also when I press Extrude, nothing happens. Must the extruder lock always be on the locked position?

The lock is in the locked position after you load in the filament, the bed is normally in the upper position unless it has printer something, then it will lower itself to allow for model removal.

Loading of the filament can be a chore with these, sometimes the filament does not pass the filament run out sensor. Being new to this hobby, you should go and watch YouTube videos on the subject of how to start using the printer.

Hello @Bushbug …!

Welcome to the Creality Forum…! Creality

On the printer touch screen you can lower the bed by touching the “house” icon at the “Z” It will do a homing setup and then you can move the bed up or down. 1mm, 10mm or 30mm increments.

We can answer most of your questions here but as @deano stated you really need to be familiar with how your machine works and how to operate it… :+1:
