K1C + CFS + Upgrade Kit = firmware issues

it seems to me there is no official firmware to combo “K1C + CFS + Upgrade Kit”, i am right?

My K1C frequently has its screen “lock” after print something. To this the only solution is to turn off and on. Or simply ignore the issue and send commands using only PC or Mobile App.

And even if i look into printer software looking for firmware upgrades, always is the same message “you are using the latest firmware version”.

I’m struggling with exactly the same issue. I’m really not sure spending money on CFS is good idea. It causes too much trouble.

I am also having all kinds of issues with this upgrade as I replaced so many parts as I purchased a second kit without the spool case.. but I get rid of one issue to only get another.. the biggest issue is when a part is using more then one color, it slows down feeding the filament. I tried everything to fix it, but not going well. And now the filament gets clogged in the hot end and has to be taken apart and cleaned out manually, to just clog up again.. as this is the newest unicorn hot end.. Any help would be appreciated?

I’m seriously considering to get rid of K1C and divorce from Creality at all. The whole CFS thing is not working with Orca Slicer. I really hate Creality Print, it is extremely buggy and user unfriendly.

This week I found that the Firmware that was shipped with the CFS Upgrade was probably not the right one for my K1C, which has main board version CR4CU220812S12.

I was checking the official firmware page ( Flagship Series Firmware Download | Creality 3D Printer Firmwares ) and I notice a newer firmware for my main board model: CR4CU220812S12_ota_X2000E_V1.1.0.27.20251225.img

However I am currently running the latest firmware that was provided by Creality: v2.3.5.34 and the file name is: CR4CU220812S11_ota_img_V2.3.5.34.img

Which means that this firmware is for a older main board version. Not sure if that could be the root cause of some of the issues.

Anyway, I copied the latest firmware for my mainboard to a pen drive to try updating it. And guess what?
My K1C is not detecting new firmwares via pendrive…

Now I am not sure if this is an issue with my printer or with the current firmware or because there is some sort of version checking that prevents it to be installed since the most recent one for my main board has a smaller version then the firmware I currently have.

Does anyone knows? And how can I force the installation of the new firmaware using pen drive?
