How long does a K1C hotend usually last, and what are the best replacement options?
Hi,
Depending on the type of filament you use ie carbon fiber, the hot end assembly would last a long time.
I had to replace my hot end assembly when replacing the nozzle I broke a connection to the ceramic heater. This was due to the silicon sock being glued in place when I purchased the machine.
Since then the hot end has been working OK for over 12 months. I mainly use hyper/rapid PETG for most of my prints with some carbon PLA.

@Bill.b there is a difference between hotend and nozzle ![]()
The hotend will last a very long time, the nozzle needs to be changed sooner. At work we print only with PLA-CF and we have to change nozzle every 6 months… when you print with PLA the nozzle will last longer! Both printers have over 2500 hours of printing…
And is the original Creality Nozzle okay? Or switch directly to a ceramic kit?
The original nozzle on the K1 and K2 heaters are ceramic

Don’t lie @Bill.b … nozzles are not ceramic, the heatblock is… ![]()
Thanks for reporting, but I understood that…a minor hot detail…so I forgive Bill.![]()
