K1C nozzle damaged hotend

Are there any tips on the nozzle swap other then the tutorials?
I just destroyed two nozzles and the hotend after following the tutorial and all.
K1C is about 2 months old.

So i have been printing with the 0.4 just fine and swapped to a 0.6 for wood filament.
While removing the 0.4 went smooth just some resistance at the end.
Installing 0.6 again some resistance in the beginning and smooth until fully installed.
Printed perfectly.

Back to the 0.4.
Removing the 0.6 there was more resistance specially at the end.
Installing the 0.4 it just locked after a few threads.

Had to use force to get it out and hotend is damaged as well since i cant get a new nozzle in.

top is 0.6, bottom 0.4

How many degrees do you heat the hotend to when assembling and disassembling the nozzle? I ruined my first hotend like this because I didn’t heat it enough.

Did you use thermal past on the thread?

Bill

I used the standard 220 degrees to extract the filament, maybe i waited to long and it cooled down.

Yeah the stuff that came with the printer. On the picture i cleaned the nozzles.

Just installed the new hotend and new nozzle went in by hand until the last few turns.
Heated to 260 and went in all the way with little resistance.
