K1C stuck at “Preparing…” – Hotend and bed stay at 28°C after V13 board install

Hello everyone, I need help with my Creality K1C. Since installing the new V13 pcb, the printer no longer works correctly.

Here is the problem:

  • The printer starts normally.

  • It shows “Preparing…” on the screen.

  • After that, no matter what I try to do (preheat hotend, preheat bed, start a print, etc.), the hotend and the heated bed stay stuck at 28°C.

  • The temperature does not move at all, even if I try to heat both hotends and the bed.

  • The printer never begins heating and never leaves the “preparing” state.

What I have already checked:

  • All cables are correctly connected (heater, thermistor, bed, ribbon cable).

  • The thermistor shows 28°C whether it is plugged in or unplugged.

  • Firmware is updated.

  • I reinstalled the V13 board carefully.

  • I followed all the steps Creality support asked for.

  • I sent photos, videos, and my invoice.

Current situation: It has been 3 days and Creality support has not given me any real solution. They only said they “checked my case,” but I still have no fix and the printer is unusable.

My question to the community:

  • Has anyone had the same issue with the V13 board on the K1C?

  • Did you find a solution?

  • Was it a defective board, a cable issue, or something else?

  • Did Creality eventually send a working replacement?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I currently have a ticket opened with Creality on the same issue. It started after I removed the nozzle to unplug it. Any type of activity on the screen results in system preparing message, please wait. I also get a nozzle abnormal temp error and the nozzle remains at 28C. No response on my ticket as of today.

Replace the nozzle assy and all is working normally.
