k1MAX + cfs-C QUESTIONS

Hello, I have a K1max with the new CFS-C and I have a lot of questions. Why is there a calibration at the beginning of each print? It doesn’t make any sense on this machine since a complete calibration is performed during setup and when changing the nozzle or build plate. The software should offer a choice of calibration options. Even when using the M420-S1 gcode, the calibration still occurs. What is the (endless) waiting time before printing, where the print head just sits on the front left and nothing happens? Instead of scanning all the filaments with the CFS-C at the start of the print, wouldn’t it be possible to memorize the last color used so that, if the same filament is used, the print can restart automatically? In short, I think there are a lot of things that need improvement in the future firmware.

It isn’t allways a firmware error I the user doesn’t understand how things work… My printer doesn’t calibrate before every print, only creates bed-mesh for the part it is going to print on…

Bed calibration and bed meshing are the same thing. The bed is calibrated once during the machine calibration process, along with its resonance tests. From that point on, bed meshing is no longer necessary, unless the nozzle or printing surface is changed. The mesh is stored in memory, and theoretically, the M420-S1 gcode calls this mesh. So instead of blaming the user, start by doing some basic research!
