I have had this K1Max printer for over a year and has been printing very well with no problems.
Might be a coincidence but when I upgraded the firmware from 1.3.3.36 to 1.3.3.46 this happened after update, it would also find home in random positions on the plate, if it did find home before the 2505 error the print head would go off the plate in X minus and start grinding.
I used the Creality K1 reset Utility to reset to factory settings but did not help.
From reading on the internet it looks like I need to replace the Mother Board.
The problem is I cannot find a Mother Board that is compatible with this printer, the motors on this printer are the 42-60 X-Y motors, all the boards on the internet are for the 42-48 motors. If I was to replace the Mother Board that works with the 42-48 motors could I just replace the 42-60 motors with 42-48 motors? or is this possible, without changing firmware parameters?
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks, Steve
